Josie sat in the middle of us and she was good, we kept her busy with lots of toys and treats. 2 1/2 hour flight.

First Day - Austin, TX

First day we got here, we had to toast to the start of our vacation. Walked down the street to Z Tejas, a Southwest Mexican joint. Had a great time today. Kept it easy, didn't do much. We woke up in the middle of the night and Josie puked up in the bed. We cleaned her up, did laundry at 2:30 in the morning and headed back to bed. J felt better this morning but still has a little fever, she's napping now - 6pm Sun. We met up with Wes this morning for an authentic Mexican breakfast - of course had to try the breakfast tacos. Breakfast tacos are the talk of the town over here. GREAT! Went to "SOCO", South Congress after breakfast to check out all the kooky stores. Tons of people out, great 75' weather, fun time. Came home, Josie needed some down time. Thomas has his guitar out now and he is playing some tunes. Him and Wes are going to get together and record some of their old tunes they'd play back in the day.

Josie was in LOVE with this dog, giving it LOTS of love. I think she misses her puppy!

Our first night out, we walked several blocks through downtown and picked up a slice of pizza. This pic was right before a couple guys flew out of a bar throwing each other around....OMG...bar fight!!!!

This place was one of our favorites - went a couple times.

Downtown Austin
After 2 nights, we checked out of our condo vacation rental. This restaurant was across the street.
West Austin Condo - Clarksville
checked in 5/14 - checked out 5/17
This place was west of downtown, kind of the ritzy part. The middle of downtown is about 10 blocks east.
Whole Foods was a block away, this location is one of the biggest and I think is one of the first to open. I took Josie with me one evening while Thomas was playing music with Wes This was the place to be, it was bustling with people and energy. Kind of weird (in a good way) that this is an option to go hang out and eat, and people watch. There were about 3 eating stations (can't really call them restaurants), one sushi, another Italian, etc. People were sitting around the chef, eating and having cocktails. Interesting!!
