I'm a kid again....who said I ever grew up!
Thomas and I stopped by a local roller skating shop that opened up a couple of months ago here in Long Beach. The girl who owns th shop is also a derby girl and when we stopped by, she was very friendly and told me about a meet up at the roller rink. I decided I needed to go have some fun, Thomas stayed home and watched Josie. I had tons of fun and nope, no falls - wooowee! My feet did not hurt at all, my skates are KICK-ASS!
These pics are from last Sunday, I went skating again yesterday.
By the way, Lochness Monster is not taken but two names are similar, which slims my chances of getting it. Thomas came up with another name for me...Bloodiness. (I really don't think I could go through with being a derby girl, but I sure like to have fun with the idea.)

Shake Addie

1/10/2009
We had tons of fun riding Josie in her new bike trailer. It was a little scary at first but I got the hang of it. By the end of the ride, Josie was snoozing in the back.

A Girl's Day Out

1/16/2009
Today was an amazing day. The weather was a perfect 79 degrees and I felt like little Josie and I needed to go play in the grass. We headed out to the Ferris wheel which is around the corner. This is a great area: sprawling grass, Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and across the street are restaurants and the pier. After we played in the grass, we hopped on the Ferris wheel for a spin. Josie kept begging for ice cream, so we skipped over to Coldstone for a scoop of ice cream. That Josie, she has such a sweet tooth! I managed to pick out her favorite flavor - banana ice cream with Oreo and chocolate chips. We sat on the bench and ate ice cream. Looking over at her while she sat on the bench like a big girl, with ice cream on her face, made me think to myself this moment is so very special.

Josie loves her buggy. The buggy fits perfectly in the bottom of the stroller...so neat!

Happy First Birthday Josephine

We decided to celebrate BIG for Josie's first birthday. We walked over to a fancy steak house and had filet mignon for dinner and vanilla crème brulée for dessert. YUM!

The smell of a Cabbage Patch Doll brings back memories of my childhood.
A girl can't have enough dollies. Josie was lucky enough to get two Cabbage Patch Kids. The look on her face is so cute when she sees a baby girl in the package staring back at her. When she finally got the dolls out of the box, she gave them kisses.

MADIE LOUISA - Thanks Kelly for the doll...she loves it as you can see.

JOSIE CASSANDRA
Thanks Grandpa Frank. The story to this doll is so special. My Dad and his wife Carol came over for dinner and they brought over gifts. Dad told us this doll reminded him of his mother (who's name is Josephine, who Josie is named after), the doll has blonde hair and blue eyes, just like his mom and just like Josie. Well, when Thomas helped Josie open up the doll, the name on the birth certificate was Josie. We were all in AHHH! What a great story!

Thanks Kelly for the little buggy. Josie didn't waste any time scooting it around.
